Kristin D. Russell is a dynamic executive with more than fifteen years of experience in leading large operations, services, and information technology (IT) organizations. She is the Global President of Arrow Electronics, Intelligent Systems division which helps companies design, build and deliver intelligent systems.
Previously, Kristin was a Director with Deloitte Digital and focused on bringing innovative, cloud solutions to the public sector market. Prior to her work at Deloitte, Kristin was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper in February 2011 to serve as the state's Secretary of Technology and Chief Information Officer. As the Chief Information Officer, she was responsible for the overall information systems statewide and increasing the effectiveness of government through the use of shared information and technology. As Secretary of Technology, Kristin led the state’s IT economic development strategy focused on attracting new technology companies and tech workers to the state. She also served as the first Chairwoman for the Colorado Innovation Network Board of Advisors.
Due to her accomplishments, Kristin has received several awards including Government Technology's Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers, the Denver Business Journal CIO of the Year Award, and in 2015, she was recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, Kristin was named as a Top Innovator for Embedded Computing Design. She was the first female to be honored with this award.
