Sameer Kishore holds P&L responsibility for Dell Services’ global Banking, Financial Services, Securities & Insurance (BFSI) industry vertical. Sameer joined Dell in July 2011.
The BFSI organization under Dell Services helps banks and financial institutions achieve competitive advantage by enabling them to reduce operating costs, improve customer loyalty, reduce time-to-market, and by assisting them in complying with applicable regulations. The group offers end-to-end solutions covering consulting, applications and business process outsourcing and infrastructure solutions.
Under Sameer’s leadership, the BFSI vertical has launched several strategic industry solutions and IP, which has led to multi-fold growth across customer satisfaction, new customer acquisition, and overall business growth.
Sameer has more than two decades of rich leadership experience in driving growth of IT and IT-enabled services across major industry verticals like BFSI, Information Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Retail. He has built large global organizations across North America, Europe and Asia and has a proven track record of increasing sales and profits. Sameer’s leadership skills have enabled him to drive operational improvements, productivity and cost engineering across business units, geographies and markets.
Sameer joined Dell from Wipro Technologies, where he spent more than 19 years in various roles. At Wipro he was part of the team that started the BFSI business and later the Business Technology Services business. Most recently, Sameer served as president and member of the board at Infocrossing, an Infrastructure Services company that Wipro acquired in 2007. Under his leadership, the business transformed from a loss- making enterprise to a high-margin, high-growth business. He is credited with Infocrossing’s metamorphosis from a provider of SME-centric data center services to a Global 1,000-focused, outsourcing business.
A customer-focused and performance-driven leader, Sameer believes in nurturing key business relationships personally. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, and for building and motivating cross-functional teams that exceed corporate objectives.
Sameer holds an undergrad degree in math and statistics and a graduate degree in management studies from University of Bombay, India. Sameer and his family live in San Ramon, CA.
