Wayne joined Sysco in October 2012, after serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for SUPERVALU. Prior to that, he was with Cadbury, first serving as Senior Vice President-Information Technology for the Americas and then becoming Global CIO in 2008. Wayne is known for transforming IT organizations to be intensely business focused with an emphasis on value creation and speed of delivery.
He began his career in 1981 as a finance management trainee at Nabisco, where he stayed for 20 years, progressing through a series of roles with increasing responsibility, including Vice President-Sales Operations, Vice President-North American Supply Chain Process and Vice President-e-Business. He left Nabisco to become president of the PrinciplesGroup, a consulting firm, where he assisted companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Remy Cointreau USA, and Avaya with technology-enabled business transformation strategies.
Wayne was a board member at Con-Way Inc., and served on their audit and governance and nominating committees until they were acquired by XPO Logistics in October 2015.
Wayne earned a BS from Lehigh University and an MBA from Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business.
